City Life is an album inspired by Matt's experiences living in New York City from 2012-2015.  Each piece is an original composition by Matt that serves as a unique snapshot from this time.  Some songs were written about the city itself:  Ditmas Ave, City Life and Q Train Quirks, where the music seeks to capture the vibrant and unique experiences of the city.  Other songs were written as personal dedications:  Close from Far, Emma Sue, For Jen and Elijah.  This album is funded in part by the Pathways to Jazz Grant, a donor advised fund of the Boulder County Arts Alliance.
